Road access to the Arrivals level at Larnaca Airport will reopen on Friday, 7 August, following a decision aimed at reducing congestion around the Departures area and improving traffic flow for passengers and motorists.
The Ministry of Justice and Public Order said the measure followed an initiative by Justice Minister Costas Fytiris, who called a meeting to examine the traffic problems affecting the airport.
The ministry said the route can reopen after coordinated work by the Police, the Public Works Department and Hermes Airports. The three organisations completed the required preparations to allow vehicles to use the Arrivals access road once again.
Officials expect the change to ease pressure on the airport's road network and provide more convenient access for those dropping off or collecting passengers.
