The Health Ministry announced one new coronavirus case on Monday, involving a local employee of a Limassol gym.
The new case emerged from the pool of 942 samples checked for the virus on Monday.
According to the announcement, the employee of a gym at the Limassol Marina took the initiative to get tested for the virus after developing symptoms.
Friday saw hundreds others tested in the framework of multiple government-ordered programs to test workers in the service sector, special health groups on the basis of doctor referrals, and contacts of other known cases.
The single new case brought total known cases in the Republic of Cyprus to 1,022.
