Cyprus shines on the small screen as "Love Rat," a captivating four-episode drama series, is set to grace the screens of Channel 5 in the UK, owned by Paramount Global. The announcement comes as a testament to Cyprus' growing prominence as a hub for international television and film productions.

Endorsed by the Cyprus Film Commission and featuring the picturesque landscapes of Ayia Napa and Protaras, "Love Rat" serves as a cinematic ode to the island's tourist gems. A proud achievement for Cyprus, the series engaged 48 local professionals in its production, highlighting the country's capacity to contribute significantly to global entertainment ventures.

Invest Cyprus, in a press release, emphasized the strategic goal of transforming Cyprus into a focal point for international television and film productions. This milestone, marked by the production of "Love Rat," underscores the nation's allure as a preferred destination for foreign film projects.

Commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer, UK at Paramount, and produced by Clapperboard Studios in the UK, "Love Rat" boasts executive producers Mike Benson and Andy Morgan. With Jonathan Phillips as the producer and Polly Buckle as the head writer, the series features stellar performances by Sally Lindsay, Neil Morrissey, Gerald Kyd, and Ramon Tikaram.

As Cyprus continues to carve its niche in the global entertainment landscape, "Love Rat" stands as a testament to the island's captivating charm and its ability to lure audiences far beyond its shores.
