Police have tracked down and arrested the man who is believed to have rented a mansion in Paphos for a carnival party last weekend.
According to police, a 27-year-old male was detained Friday morning by officers who had a warrant for his arrest, in connection with misdemeanor charges and public health violations.
Local media speculated that the suspect was the person who rented a mansion in Paphos distrcit, where a carnival party took place Saturday night.

A video on social media appeared to show partygoers dancing and having fun during the party, which was held in violation of emergency health laws during the coronavirus pandemic.
Another man, a 30-year-old from Limassol who livestreamed the party, reportedly had told police he went to the house with a friend and saw over two dozen people having fun.
It was also reported that the organizers were charging an entry fee of 20 euro with a drink or 50 euro for unlimited drinks.
Police declined to provide details on the case or comment on whether the suspect had been present during the party.
But sources told Knews the young man was facing charges of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor as well as spreading a communicable disease.
Local media said the man appears to have admitted to police investigators that he had organized the party.
