A man was found dead Tuesday morning in a field off Elaionon Avenue in Nicosia, according to police.
Authorities said the discovery was made shortly before 10 a.m. Initial reports to police indicated a man had been seriously injured, but officials confirmed he died from his injuries soon after.
The area has been sealed off as investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department examine the scene. Police said they are treating the case as an unnatural death and that all possibilities remain under investigation.
