Police are investigating an incident in which a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the back late Thursday in Limassol.
The man reported the attack to police shortly before midnight, saying he was assaulted in an open area by three unknown individuals. One of the suspects allegedly stabbed him with a sharp object.
Preliminary findings suggest the incident followed an earlier confrontation between the victim and one of the suspects while the two were driving in the city.
The man was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors found a 3-centimeter stab wound on his back and abrasions on various parts of his body. He remains hospitalized as a precaution.
The investigation is ongoing.
