Marios Pelekanos has stepped down from his role as Vice President of the Democratic Rally, citing his "political morality, dignity, and conscience" as reasons for his resignation. In a letter addressed to party President Anita Demetriou, Pelekanos expressed that he could not continue in the position.
In the letter, Pelekanos stated, "My political morality, dignity, and conscience do not allow me to continue and oblige me to submit my resignation from the position of First Vice President of the Democratic Rally."
Throughout his tenure, Pelekanos worked to revitalize the Democratic Rally into a prominent and modern right-wing party, emphasizing clear positions and orientation.
Expressing gratitude in his letter, Pelekanos thanked the thousands of party members who had supported him with their votes a few months ago, recognizing their trust in his message.
