Stay prepared for localized precipitation and atmospheric hazards

Today's weather will feature a mix of conditions, including localized showers and isolated thunderstorms, primarily in the northern half of the island. As per the forecast by the Meteorological Service, the area will be influenced by weak low pressure. Additionally, there will be instances of dust observed in the atmosphere. It's important to note that the temperature will rise up to 27 degrees Celsius inland.

Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mainly after midday in the northern half of the island. The prevailing winds will be predominantly south-westerly, ranging from light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. However, in coastal areas, winds may be stronger, reaching up to 5 Beaufort. The sea conditions will generally be a little rough.

Temperature-wise, inland regions will experience a rise, with temperatures reaching around 27 degrees Celsius. In the southeast and east coast, temperatures will be around 26 degrees, while the rest of the coastal areas will see temperatures around 24 degrees. Higher elevated areas, such as the mountains, will have cooler temperatures, averaging around 16 degrees.

Moving into the night, the weather will become mostly clear, although there may be some patchy clouds lingering, particularly along the coast. During the early morning hours, expect the formation of low clouds and thin fog, mainly in inland areas. Winds will shift to a northwest to northeast direction, occasionally becoming variable, and remain light at 3 Beaufort. The sea conditions will be generally calm, with a slight possibility of roughness in some areas. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 14 degrees inland, approximately 16 degrees on the coast, and as low as 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

Looking ahead, Wednesday afternoon will see increasing cloudiness, which may result in local showers and isolated thunderstorms, primarily in the northern half of the island. On Thursday, expect further cloud development, leading to isolated showers, mainly in mountainous regions. Finally, Friday is anticipated to have mainly clear weather conditions.

Over the next three days, temperatures will gradually rise, reaching values close to the average climatic norms for this period.
