Clear weather, clouds, rain, temperature dips and rises all in the same week

Newsroom

Monday weather will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain showers later in the afternoon, with maximum temperatures in the low to mid 30’s expected to pick up by mid-week.

Officials say there is a chance of local rain showers and even isolated thunderstorms primarily on the mountains, inland, and in eastern parts of the island.

Light to moderate winds from the west will develop into moderate to strong winds, while in the south they will pick up intermittently between periods in the late afternoon.

The sea will be relatively calm in the early part of the day while there will be choppy waters later in the afternoon due to the stronger winds, reaching 6 points on the Beaufort wind force scale.

A hailstorm is likely in areas with the heaviest level of precipitation during thunderstorms

Maximum temperatures will be 33° Celsius inland, around 30° in the south and eastern shores, 28 in all other coastal regions, and 22° up in the highest elevations on the mountains.

In the evening, weather will be mostly clear with sporadic cloud formations.

Minimum temperatures will register 20° Celsius inland, 24° out west, around 21° in all other coastal regions, and 13° up in the highest elevations on the mountains.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly clear in the early part of the day while there will be cloudy skies in the afternoon, with a chance of rain showers and isolated thunderstorms in the foothill areas, up in the mountains, but also over some areas around the capital.

A hailstorm is likely in areas with the heaviest level of precipitation during thunderstorms.

Thursday will be mostly clear but it will be marked with cloud formations between periods throughout the day.

Temperatures are expected to pick up slightly on Wednesday and Thursday.
