Vehicle meant to catch lawbreakers sparks outrage after illegally parking in a space for people with disabilities.

A mobile camera van, meant to catch drivers breaking the law, has itself come under fire for breaking the rules after it was spotted parked in a space reserved for people with disabilities.

The incident came to light when Dimitris Lambrianidis, president of the Cyprus Paraplegic Organization, shared a photo showing the van with its door open and equipment visible, clearly occupying a disabled parking spot.

“Their ease and audacity are amazing,” Lambrianidis wrote on social media. “They are paid to report those who violate the law, and they themselves park illegally in disabled spaces to photograph others breaking the law.”

The post quickly went viral, sparking criticism and a flurry of comments online, with many questioning how a vehicle tasked with enforcing parking rules could ignore them so blatantly.

For now, authorities have not commented on whether the van will face any consequences, but the image has reignited debates about accountability and respect for spaces reserved for those with disabilities.
