A devastating fire tore through a livestock farm in the village of Meniko on Tuesday evening, killing more than 1,000 newborn goats and sheep, authorities said.
The blaze reportedly broke out at around 7 p.m., prompting an immediate response from police officers and the Fire Service, who rushed to the scene to contain the flames and assess the damage.
While the fire has been extinguished, the cause remains unknown. Investigators are expected to resume their inquiries today as part of efforts to determine how the incident started.
