A 33-year-old pharmacist remains in serious but stable condition at Paphos General Hospital after being stabbed in a shocking daylight attack on Monday morning.
Police say the woman was working alongside a 24-year-old colleague in a local pharmacy in the Paphos district when a 35-year-old man entered and attacked both women with a knife around 10 a.m.
The 24-year-old suffered lighter injuries and was treated and released from the hospital. The 33-year-old, however, was kept in for further care due to the seriousness of her wounds.
The suspect turned himself in at the Paphos Police Station shortly after the incident, where officers found a knife in his possession. He was arrested and is now being held under a court warrant.
Authorities are investigating the case as attempted murder, along with charges of wounding and illegal possession of a weapon.
No motive has been confirmed yet, and investigations are ongoing.
