A violent knife attack shocked the community of Chloraka in Paphos on Holy Monday morning, when a 35-year-old man reportedly stormed into a local pharmacy and attacked two women.

According to police, the suspect, a Greek Cypriot man, allegedly had personal differences with the women, aged 24 and 36. One of the women suffered a serious stab wound to the abdomen, while the other was treated for a minor injury to her hand. Both were rushed to Paphos General Hospital.

The suspect later handed himself over to the authorities. Police say an arrest warrant is expected to be issued while investigations into the incident are ongoing. The scene of the attack has been cordoned off.
