The first phase of the Paralimni Marina, which will feature 300 berths, is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with the first boats arriving before the start of the next tourist season, according to Paralimni-Deryneia Mayor George Nikolettos.

During a visit to the construction site on Monday, Nikolettos was briefed by Anthoulis Kountouris, CEO of PMV Maritime Holdings, on the progress of the project. The marina is expected to boost the area's development and attract maritime tourism as it will serve as an official point of entry to the Republic of Cyprus.

The first phase will include port infrastructure, administrative offices, and a commercial section, with the goal of being fully operational for the upcoming tourist season.

“The commercial developments, combined with the fact that an official entry point will be established in Protaras, will lead to significant growth for the area,” said Nikolettos.

The Paralimni Marina is the only marina project in Cyprus entirely financed by a Cypriot investor, with a total investment of €100 million.

Nikolettos was accompanied by municipal officials during his visit to the site, including Municipal Secretary Gabriella Gabriel, Municipal Engineer Andreas Yenagritis, and Cultural and Tourism Officer Marinos Pavlikkas.
