The Paphos Police conducted a successful operation on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of three individuals involved in electricity theft. The operation took place in a complex of apartment buildings located in Chloraka and aimed to prevent and solve crimes while enhancing public safety. The operation involved various units, including the SAD, YAM, YKAN, MMAD, and Chloraka C.S.

Several apartments were searched, and numerous individuals were investigated. The investigations revealed two cases of power theft, involving illegal connections from a nearby substation. The culprits, two 22-year-old and 23-year-old individuals residing in one apartment, as well as a 23-year-old man from another apartment, were apprehended and taken into custody.

During the operation, the 23-year-old man attempted to evade capture by jumping from a second-floor balcony to a first-floor balcony and ultimately to the ground, resulting in a fractured heel. He was immediately transferred to Paphos General Hospital, where he received initial medical assistance and was subsequently discharged.

Furthermore, the Chloracas Community Authority undertook the task of cleaning the premises of the apartment complex, clearing away rubbish and other debris from the area.
