Police have ‘no luck’ in latest inspections

No business establishments cited in the Republic of Cyprus during latest decree checks

Police officers in the Republic of Cyprus issued no citations in the last 24 hours following hundreds of inspections across all districts.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, police carried out checks and inspections from Wednesday through Thursday morning at 6am, resulting in no citations or fines.

A total of 676 inspections were carried out in all districts, where officers visited a various establishments including restaurants and taverns, cafeterias and coffee shops, pizzerias, hotels, pubs, beaches, and sports clubs.

Officers conducted 24 inspections in Nicosia district, 42 in Limassol, 319 in Larnaca, 116 in Paphos, 117 in Famagusta, and 58 within the Morphou precinct.

The news came as health officials kept announcing zero confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
