Authorities were called into action early Thursday morning after an explosion rocked a car showroom in the Engomi area of Nicosia, damaging the front entrance and unsettling nearby residents.
According to police, the blast occurred around 3:25 a.m. at the showroom of a well-known car dealership. No injuries were reported, but the explosion shattered the glass doors at the front of the building and caused a stir in the otherwise quiet neighborhood.
Officers quickly responded to the scene and sealed off the area. Investigators remained at the site through the morning, combing through evidence to determine what triggered the explosion and whether it was deliberate.
No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unclear.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
