Authorities are investigating a violent assault that left an elderly woman seriously injured in Paphos on Monday. An 18-year-old is being sought in connection with the attack.
At around 4:00 p.m., the suspect allegedly assaulted an 81-year-old woman and her 63-year-old daughter in the Tremithousa area. The elderly woman suffered severe injuries and was taken to the Accident and Emergency Department at Paphos General Hospital, where she is receiving treatment and further care.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for the 18-year-old, who remains at large.
Initial investigations suggest the assault followed a dispute between the individuals involved.
