With the festive season approaching, the Cyprus Police have issued a warning about counterfeit euro banknotes circulating in the country. The counterfeit bills, in denominations of €5, €10, €20, and €50, are easily identifiable due to repeating serial numbers printed on their reverse side.
The specific serial numbers commonly found on the counterfeit notes include:

- €10: MB6666888880, PA7497803159
- €20: MB66688880, UC1366259581, SD2034368912, PMI25782181
- €50: MB6666888880, FG9252070821, SE1206972964, WR6493991575
The Police are urging the public to be especially vigilant when receiving cash transactions during the busy holiday season. They advise individuals to carefully examine the euro banknotes for signs of counterfeit before accepting them.
