The Daniel system is currently exerting its influence over the central Mediterranean and Greece, resulting in a weather shift that has garnered attention across the region. Meanwhile, in our local area, a low-pressure system is causing variable conditions.
Today's weather forecast calls for predominantly clear skies, occasionally punctuated by localized cloud cover throughout the day. In the afternoon, isolated showers are possible, primarily in mountainous areas. Winds are expected to originate from the southeast initially, later shifting to the southwest, with speeds reaching 3 Beaufort. In the northern regions, occasional north-northwest winds may prevail. Wind conditions are predicted to range from weak to moderate, falling between 3 to 4 Beaufort. Sea conditions will be generally calm, with a slight increase in turbulence.
Temperature-wise, we can anticipate a high of around 35 degrees Celsius inland, approximately 32 degrees along the southern, eastern, and northern coastlines, roughly 30 degrees on the western coast, and approximately 24 degrees in elevated mountainous regions.
As night falls, expect the weather to remain mostly clear. Wind patterns will shift from southwest to northwest, with intermittent northeast winds in specific locales. Wind speeds are projected at 3 Beaufort. Sea conditions will continue to be relatively calm, with some slight turbulence. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees Celsius inland, roughly 22 degrees along the coast, and approximately 15 degrees in the highest mountainous areas.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, we can anticipate another day of mostly clear skies, with the possibility of increased cloud cover in the afternoon, particularly in mountainous and inland regions. As we progress into Thursday and Friday, the weather is expected to remain predominantly clear.
Temperature-wise, Wednesday will see minimal fluctuations, while by the time Friday arrives, temperatures are predicted to experience a gradual rise, surpassing the usual climatic averages for this period.
