Serious head injury to 6-year-old boy

Tragic accident shatters young innocence

The police are investigating the circumstances under which a six-year-old child was seriously injured last night while crossing the road as a pedestrian in Limassol. The child was hit by a passing car. The young boy is currently being treated at Nicosia General Hospital, and his health condition is considered serious but not life-threatening.

Specifically, around 7:20 pm on Wednesday evening, the six-year-old boy was crossing the road in the Neapoli area of Limassol, outside his residence, when he was hit by a passing car driven by a 39-year-old man. The police are looking into the details of the incident.

Upon receiving the report, police officers rushed to the scene for investigations, and an ambulance crew transported the injured child to Limassol General Hospital for examination. Medical tests revealed serious head injuries for the six-year-old, who was then transferred by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he is currently being hospitalized. According to attending doctors, his health condition is serious, but he is not in critical danger.

The Traffic Department of Limassol continues its examinations and inquiries related to the incident.
