"The Gastronomo and Kathimerini Quality Awards annually bring to the forefront the remarkable achievements of Cypriot producers who often remain undiscovered within our country, showcasing their pride in local products," stated journalist Yannis Adilinis during the DIASPORA NEWS broadcast. The 9th annual Quality Awards is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 27, at 20:00 in the courtyard of the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Strovolos.
"For nine years, this esteemed institution has recognized ten outstanding Cypriot producers who serve as guiding lights. These individuals have birthed innovative ideas and persevered with an unwavering determination to turn them into reality, even amidst challenging circumstances. They have relentlessly pursued their goals, always prioritizing consumer satisfaction, environmental consciousness, and sustainable practices," he remarked. Adilinis further emphasized that the upcoming event will celebrate and honor small family businesses and medium-sized enterprises.
According to Adilinis, the "G" tasting committee has meticulously evaluated 70 high-quality Cypriot products through blind tastings. Their expertise has identified the finest products in ten categories, including Halloumi, Traditional Products, Olive Oil Production, Red Wine Farming, White Wine, Outstanding Quality, Cyprus Creative Cuisine, Sustainable Development, and the Honorary Award.
