Late Monday night, gunshots rang out at a home in the Agios Athanasios area of Limassol, leaving the neighborhood shaken but no one hurt.

Police say two people on a scooter-style motorcycle pulled up to the house around 11:15 p.m. and fired several shots at the property, hitting the wall and front entrance. Fortunately, the homeowner, a 42-year-old man, was away abroad at the time, and no one was inside.

Officers from Limassol’s Criminal Investigation Department, along with forensic experts, arrived at the scene to collect evidence. Their work stretched into the early hours of Tuesday morning as they gathered items for scientific analysis.

The reasons behind the shooting remain unclear, and authorities are actively searching for the suspects. Police ask anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
