Strong winds in the forecast - temperatures at 19°C

A weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region.

Today, increased cloud cover is expected early in the day, with the possibility of isolated showers, mainly in western areas. However, skies will gradually clear as the day progresses. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort, and locally very strong at times, reaching 6 Beaufort. The sea will be rough to very rough. Temperatures will reach around 19°C inland, about 20°C along the coast, and approximately 12°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight, mostly clear skies are expected, although temporary increases in cloud cover may occur in the west. Winds will shift from the west to northwest, remaining moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become rough. Temperatures will fall to around 9°C inland, around 12°C on the western coast, 10°C on other coastal areas, and about 1°C in the higher mountains, where local frost may form.

Friday will bring periods of increased cloud cover, with the chance of isolated showers. On Saturday, the weather will turn partly cloudy, with isolated rain possible over the mountains. By Sunday, skies will be intermittently cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms expected. Snow or sleet may fall on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains.

Temperatures will remain stable through Sunday and stay below the seasonal average.
