The mutual support between Greece and Cyprus is even more urgent in the current difficult period, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cyprus House President Demetris Syllouris agreed during their Athens meeting on Wednesday.

Syllouris briefed the Greek PM on the convening of a quadripartite conference among the Parliaments of Cyprus, Greece, Jordan and Egypt, noting that the cooperation of the countries of the region against Turkish aggression is crucial.

Mitsotakis stressed that the high level of parliamentary diplomacy between Cyprus and Greece is of particular value as it enables the two countries to inform the international community of their demands and allows them to confront fake news reproduced by specific countries.
