Dozens of migrants of African origin gathered outside the Migration Department on Wednesday requesting asylum.

Migration Department officials struggled to communicate with the non-English speaking migrants, and demanded that the gathered migrants present their passports, refusing entry to those who did not.

The migrants claimed they left their countries of origin, Cameroon and Nigeria, due to the poor quality of living.
