Temps take slight dip but levels up by week’s end

Suspicious clouds looming this week, strong winds south, rain chances inland and mountains

A low pressure system is affecting Cyprus with temperatures taking a slight dip for a few days along with chances of showers and thunderstorms in the interior.

Tuesday skies initially will be mostly clear with strong winds along the southern coast while cloud formations after noon are expected to bring showers and thunderstorms mainly inland and in the mountains.

Temperature highs will reach 35 degrees Celsius inland, 30 in the west, 32 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 26 high up in the mountains.

Evening skies will be mostly clear with temperature lows dropping to 20 degrees inland, 23 in coastal areas, and 18 higher up.

Wednesday skies will be mostly clear but clouds after noon could bring showers and thunderstorms, while there are also chances of isolated thunderstorms mainly in the mountains.

Suspicious clouds will continue on Thursday as temperatures rise and weather becomes mostly clear by Friday, when levels will once again reach above normal averages for this time of the year.
