Thanos Hotels' Greece invasion - Mykonos and beyond

Newsroom

With over 50 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a track record of highly successful operations in three ultra-luxurious hotels in Cyprus, Thanos Hotels and Resorts Group is expanding its business ventures with new developments in Greece. These new projects aim to elevate the tourism offerings in both Cyprus and Greece, promising a unique experience for visitors.

The group's first hotel in Greece opened in April 2023 in Agios Stefanos, Mykonos, followed by another opening in May 2024 under the Amyth Hotels brand, located on the popular Super Paradise beach.

The newly renovated Amyth of Mykonos Super Paradise boasts a collection of 50 rooms, suites, and villas, set to welcome its first guests next month. Additionally, the resort features two restaurants, a spa, boutique shops, and a gym. Accommodation options range from 25 sq. m. rooms to suites spanning up to 110 sq. m., many of which include private pools and outdoor jacuzzis.

Recently, the group unveiled its investment plan in Greece, with plans to expand the Amyth Hotels collection. Rooted in the heritage of Thanos Hotels & Resorts, the Amyth brand reflects the values and culture of each local community. For over 50 years, the group has combined authentic hospitality with high-quality service, while honoring the traditions and culture of the communities where it operates.

Upcoming openings by the group include Amyth of Nicosia, set to open in the fall of 2024 in the capital's center, as well as more Amyth hotels in Greece over the next five years, aiming to add a blend of established, emerging, and new destinations.

Moreover, the group will provide upgraded hotel management services to the Greek market through partnerships with asset owners and existing hoteliers. The CEO of the group, Thanos Michailidis, stated, "We have assessed the positive trends in the investment climate in Greece, and therefore our entry into the Greek market with Amyth of Mykonos in Agios Stefanos is a natural progression of our business journey. Greece has always been close to our hearts."
