The rains have arrived. A refreshing change for Cyprus!

Good news, everyone (or maybe not for some)! The rains have finally come to refresh us. Today, we'll see mainly cloudy skies with some local showers throughout the day, and there’s even a chance of a few isolated thunderstorms. For those heading up to Troodos, snow or sleet is expected on the higher peaks – a true winter touch! Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast to southeast, making the sea a bit rough. Temperatures will reach around 16°C in the interior and along the coast, while it will be a cooler 9°C in the mountains.

As night falls, the showers will continue, especially along the coast, and isolated thunderstorms could make an appearance. Winds will shift to moderate, blowing at around 4 Beaufort. Expect temperatures to drop to 6°C inland, 9°C on the coast, and a chilly 3°C in the mountains where frost may form.

Looking ahead, Thursday will bring partly cloudy skies and more showers, with snow or sleet still possible in the Troodos. On Friday, we'll see more clouds building up, potentially bringing more showers, especially in the mountains. Saturday will bring another round of isolated showers and the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
