Wednesday is looking like it has decided to keep things fairly calm, with plenty of clear skies but a few clouds waiting in the wings. An unstable air mass will temporarily affect the area, so while most of the island can expect a fairly pleasant day, the mountains may have a small shower or two up their sleeve.
Today, the weather will initially be mainly clear, before increased cloud cover gradually develops. These clouds may produce isolated showers, mainly in the mountains. Winds will blow from the northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Along the western coast, winds will be northwesterly at the same strength. Temperatures will reach around 28°C inland and along the coasts, while the highest mountains will sit at around 18°C. So, warm enough down here, pleasantly cooler up there and perhaps worth keeping an umbrella nearby if you're heading into the mountains.
Tonight keeps things simple. The weather will be mainly clear, with winds blowing from the northwest to northeast, light at 3 Beaufort and locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.
Friday and Saturday look rather well behaved. The weather will be mainly clear, although locally increased cloud cover will appear from time to time.
Then, on Sunday, those clouds may become a little more interesting, with increased cloud cover potentially producing isolated showers in the mountains and northern areas. As for temperatures, they will gradually rise, settling close to the average climatic values. So, the week is ending on a fairly sunny note, with just enough mountain cloud and a possible Sunday shower to remind us that autumn is still hovering around.
Not a bad little forecast at all.
