Wednesday has decided to keep things interesting. The weather is looking a little unsettled today, with clouds gathering, a few showers and the possibility of thunderstorms. But don't worry, the sunshine hasn't disappeared completely. It looks like the rest of the week is already planning something much calmer.
Today, an unstable air mass will affect the area. This morning, increased local cloud cover may produce isolated rain, mainly along the coast. As the day goes on, the weather will become mainly cloudy, with isolated showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms. Winds will initially be variable and light at force 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate at force 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will generally be calm to slightly rough, although it may become slightly rough at times in the west. Temperatures will reach around 28°C inland and along the coast, while the highest mountains will sit at around 18°C.
Tonight, things settle down. This evening, the weather will be generally mainly clear, although some locally increased low cloud may appear. Winds will gradually become katabatic and light at force 3 Beaufort, while the sea will remain generally calm to slightly rough.
Thursday keeps things mostly bright. The weather will be mainly clear in most areas, with temporarily increased cloud cover. After midday, however, clouds developing over the mountains may produce isolated showers. The mountains clearly aren't quite ready to give up their afternoon weather routine.
Friday and Saturday look rather lovely. The weather will be generally mainly clear, with locally increased cloud cover appearing from time to time. And temperatures will gradually rise through Saturday, settling close to and slightly above the average climatic values for the season.
So, after today's cloudier spell, the rest of the week is looking considerably more settled. A few mountain showers may still pop up, but for most of us, the sunshine should have plenty of room to make an appearance.
