Buckle up, buttercups! Mother Nature is feeling a bit moody. We’ve got a weak low-pressure system hanging around today, but don't let its lack of confidence fool you. It’s bringing some friends later.
Today is starting off a bit shy with some misty-eyed fog and low clouds, but she’ll brighten up soon! The vibe is mostly clear morning, followed by a dramatic afternoon glow-up of clouds. Gentle 3 Beaufort winds will eventually decide to pick up the pace to a moderate 4 Beaufort.
If you’re heading to the mountains, watch out! There might be some isolated showers or a random thunderstorm trying to steal the spotlight.
Inland, the temperature will be a toasty 29°C (summer is flirting with us). Expect a breezy 23–25°C on the coasts and a chilly 18°C in the mountains.
Expect a peaceful night, though a few low clouds might try to crash the party. It’s getting a bit nippy, so maybe grab the "good" blanket. Tonight's temperatures will be 12°C inland, 14°C at the coasts and a shivering 8°C in the mountains.
The 3-day tease
Friday: The sneaky day
Mostly sunshine and rainbows, but the mountains might get a sprinkle. We’re also expecting some pixie dust (okay, fine, it’s just regular dust) in the air. Temperatures stay slightly above average because we’re overachievers.
Saturday: The plot thickens
The clouds are moving in for real this time. Expect some light rain to dampen your picnic plans, and by nightfall, the west coast and mountains might see some thunderstorm theatrics.
Sunday: The full meltdown
Remember that weak system? Well, on Sunday, its bigger, colder brother arrives. The outlook is gloomy, rainy, and thunderous with temperatures that are going to drop faster than a bad habit.
Pro tip: Enjoy the 29°C today, because Sunday is coming for your flip-flops.
