Paphos Police provide further insights into the recent arrests of three individuals in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts that have plagued the Paphos region over the past few years. Information disclosed yesterday by Pafos Press sheds light on the unfolding events.

As outlined by Michalis Nikolaou, Assistant Police Director of operations in Pafos, a targeted operation conducted by Pafos Police Tactical Enforcement Unit this morning led to the apprehension of three individuals under court-issued warrants.

The arrested individuals comprise two men aged 32 and 35, along with a 36-year-old woman, all of Greek Cypriot descent. The ongoing investigation pertains to nearly 20 incidents of burglaries, thefts, and associated offenses occurring in Paphos between November 2020 and April 2024.

Nikolaou disclosed that the collective value of stolen property amounts to an estimated 865,000 euros. Subsequent searches conducted at the residences of the arrested individuals yielded a significant cache of gold jewelry, watches, and various other items, all seized as evidence.

Today, the trio is scheduled to appear before the Paphos district court, where authorities will seek a detention order to facilitate further interrogation and legal proceedings.
