The relentless seasonal low-pressure system is doubling down today, pushing the mercury up another notch across the island. We are in for a bright, mostly sunny day, with the only real cloud cover confined to the mountains later this afternoon.
If your day keeps you inland, prepare yourself for a serious roasting as temperatures climb to a flat 41°C. The south and east coasts will also feel the burn at a warm 35°C, while the west and north coasts offer a slightly milder retreat at 32°C. Up in the higher mountains, Troodos sits at a relatively comfortable 31°C.
Winds will start off light and lazy from the southeast to southwest at 3 Beaufort. As the day wears on, expect them to swing around to the southwest and northwest, picking up to a light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, with windward coastal spots seeing punchier gusts of 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will remain well-behaved, keeping to a calm to slightly rough state.
Once the sun sets tonight, the sky stays mostly clear, though localized patches of low cloud and light mist or fog are expected to drift in as we get closer to the early morning hours.
Winds will ease back down to a southwesterly to northwesterly flow at a light 3 Beaufort, occasionally nudging up to 3 to 4 Beaufort in a few spots. The water will hold steady at calm to slightly rough.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the weather pattern stays predictably sunny with those familiar afternoon clouds gathering over the mountain peaks.
The main story over the next couple of days is the heat curve. Temperatures will continue their gradual climb through Thursday, keeping us firmly above seasonal averages.
