Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a theft at the Ministry of Interior.  According to 24News, the burglary, which involved the ministry's warehouse and two government vehicles, was reported on Monday, November 4, but is believed to have occurred over the weekend.

Investigators from the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are looking into the incident. While details about the stolen items from the warehouse remain unclear, authorities have gathered enough evidence to warrant the arrests. The suspects are scheduled to appear in court today for a detention order.

The Ministry of Interior has not released further information regarding the theft, and the investigation is ongoing.

Two vehicles stolen from the Mechanical Service warehouses on Monday were quickly found, and the suspects have been arrested, Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou announced on Tuesday.

During a visit to a construction site for an apartment building in the government settlement of Apostolos Andreas in Latsia, Ioannou confirmed that the theft occurred from the Electromechanical Service's facilities. Thanks to the prompt efforts of the police, the vehicles were recovered within the same day, and those responsible for the theft have been taken into custody.
