U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Cyprus' Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos on Thursday, according to a statement from U.S. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
During the call, Secretary Rubio acknowledged Cyprus’ key role in the Eastern Mediterranean and its assistance in facilitating the departure of American citizens from conflict zones in the region.
