An audio recording taken during a standoff between Ukrainian and Russian soldiers is chilling.
On the small island of Zmiinyi, taken over by Russian soldiers,13 Ukrainian border guards were massacred after refusing to surrender.
According to an audio recording posted on Twitter, the Russian army called on them to surrender their weapons, but they refused to leave their positions while telling the Russians to "F* off". They were later killed by gunfire from the Russian warship.
Meanwhile, 82 other Ukrainian soldiers on the island surrendered, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
