The University of Cyprus is celebrating a major milestone, earning a spot in the World University Rankings for the 2025 academic year. This recognition comes as the university ranks among the world's top institutions in nine out of 11 academic fields assessed.
The university's recent achievements include landing within the 401-500 range in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. This is part of an impressive showing in other global rankings, including a 389th-place position in the QS World University Rankings and placement in the 701-800 range in the Shanghai Rankings (ARWU).
The 2025 rankings reflect the University of Cyprus's growing global reputation. It earned notable positions in the following fields:
- Education Studies: 251-300
- Psychology: 301-400
- Arts and Humanities: 301-400
- Social Sciences: 401-500
- Engineering: 401-500
- Physical Sciences: 501-600
- Computer Science: 501-600
- Business and Economics: 601-800
