Mostly clear weather expected across Cyprus this week

Seasonal low pressure will affect the island, bringing mostly clear weather today with occasional low clouds along the coast. By midday, clouds will develop over the mountains, potentially leading to brief, isolated showers.

Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, starting weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, then strengthening to 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be initially slightly rough but will become rougher in the west, south, and north as the day progresses.

Temperatures will rise to around 38 degrees Celsius inland, 32 degrees on the west and southwest coasts, 36 degrees on other coasts, and 31 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear with some low clouds along the coast, particularly in the west and north. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest, initially weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, then weakening to 3 Beaufort. The sea will become generally slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 22 degrees inland, 24 degrees on the coast, and 20 degrees in the higher mountains.

For Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the weather will stay mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover. Temperatures will remain at or slightly above seasonal averages.
