WeeDRIVE launches in Limassol, offering teen-only transport service

New app offers door-to-door rides for teens aged 12-18 with real-time tracking.

Newsroom

Limassol is set to welcome WeeDRIVE, Cyprus’s first mobile app dedicated exclusively to transporting teenagers aged 12 to 18. The service combines 17-seat mini-buses, real-time tracking, and smart route planning to provide a safe, reliable way for young people to travel to their extracurricular activities while easing the daily logistical burden on parents.

Currently, WeeDRIVE operates in key Limassol neighborhoods including Agios Tychonas, Mouttagiakka, Germasogeia, Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, Limassol Center, and both Kato and Pano Polemidia, with plans to expand to additional areas in 2026. Operating hours run daily from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding public holidays.

Parents can quickly set up a family account in the app, enter their child’s weekly activity schedule, and plan routes in advance. The app’s intelligent system calculates the most efficient paths, ensuring smooth and timely trips while keeping parents informed with GPS tracking and instant notifications.

All mini-buses are clean, fully wheelchair-accessible, and driven by vetted professionals trained specifically for transporting children. The service also offers flexible payment through a family wallet and allows trips to be scheduled up to the night before, giving families full control and convenience.

WeeDRIVE was developed as part of the European metaCCAZE project in partnership with the Limassol Municipality, EMEL, Oxygen for Democracy, and NextBike. The initiative highlights innovation and sustainable urban mobility solutions in Cyprus.
