Seasonal low pressure and unstable atmospheric conditions are forecast to affect Cyprus, bringing varied weather throughout the weekend.

Today will start mostly clear, but local cloud development in the afternoon is expected to bring isolated showers and possible thunderstorms, particularly in mountainous and interior regions. Winds will be southwest to northwest, ranging from weak to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, increasing to strong at 5 Beaufort along the south coast. The sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will reach 38 degrees Celsius in the interior, 32 degrees on the west coast, around 34 degrees on other coasts, and 29 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, with low clouds appearing in some areas. Winds will continue from the southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will stay a bit rough in the west but will calm down along other coasts. Temperatures will drop to 24 degrees Celsius in the interior and on the coasts, and 18 degrees in the mountains.

Saturday's weather will follow a similar pattern, starting clear but developing localized clouds and isolated showers in the afternoon, mainly over the mountains.

Clear skies are forecast for Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will remain steady on Saturday, near seasonal averages, with a gradual increase expected on Sunday and Monday.
