The sounds of wind instruments are echoing through the village of Katydata this weekend as the 12th Windcraft Music Fest welcomes audiences for three days of live music, artistic collaboration and community activities.
Running from July 24 to 26, the annual festival has once again transformed the Solea village into a meeting point for musicians, artists and visitors, with a programme centred on wind instruments and influenced by musical traditions from around the world.
This year's edition brings together performers from Cyprus and abroad, combining jazz, Balkan music, world music and contemporary compositions in a series of concerts and live performances across the village.
Alongside the ticketed performances, visitors can enjoy a variety of free activities throughout the weekend, including workshops, exhibitions, interactive installations and family-friendly events designed for all ages. The programme also places a strong emphasis on Cyprus' creative community through original collaborations with local artists.
Organisers say the festival continues to build on its reputation as a celebration of music, creativity and cultural exchange, while maintaining close ties with the local community that has hosted it for more than a decade.
Tickets remain available at the festival entrance, subject to availability.
The festival is organised by Windcraft Loud, with the Deputy Ministry of Culture's Department of Contemporary Culture as the main sponsor. Support is also provided by the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists (EFFEA), the French Institute of Cyprus, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Katydata Community Council and several private sponsors.
