A low pressure system has moved in over Cyprus with rain chances and strong winds expected in the afternoon.
Wednesday skies will be mostly clear in the early part of the day but increasing clouds in the afternoon could bring along chances of local showers mainly in the mountains in the southeast.
Strong winds are also expected throughout the day along with very powerful winds in the afternoon in leeward areas near the coast, reaching 5 points on the Beaufort scale.
Friday levels will rise slightly and then drop again Saturday, when cloudy skies and rain chances are expected in the afternoon
Temperature highs will reach 32 degrees Celsius inland, around 28 along the coast, while it will be 24 degrees high up in the mountains.
Evening weather will remain mostly clear but with persistent increasing cloud formations in local areas. Temperature lows will drop to 14 degrees inland, around 17 in coastal regions, while it will be 10 higher up.
In the next couple of days, skies will remain mostly clear but with periods of increasing clouds over local areas.
Thursday temperatures will remain roughly the same while Friday levels will rise slightly and then drop back down again on Saturday, when cloudy skies and rain chances are expected including possible showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.
