A 38-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after two people on a moped stole her handbag in Larnaca early on Tuesday, police said.
The robbery happened at around 6am while the woman was walking along a street in the city. According to police, the passenger on the moped grabbed her handbag before the pair fled the area.
The stolen bag contained €30 in cash, along with the woman's personal documents and other belongings.
During the incident, the victim fell to the ground and sustained injuries. She was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where doctors treated minor abrasions and friction burns to her hand and leg. She was later discharged.
Police have launched an investigation into the robbery, with Larnaca CID continuing inquiries.
