Paphos police are investigating the death of a male worker whose body was found in a residential pool in Yeroskipou over the weekend.

Local media said a 27-year-old laborer, who lived in the servant’s quarters of a private residence in Yeroskipou, was found dead in the swimming pool on Saturday late afternoon.

Police did not issue a report about the incident but according to the Cyprus News Agency, Paphos CID director Michalis Nicolaou on Monday said the individual was found unconscious in the water on Saturday around 6pm.

The worker, understood to be a foreign national who lived and worked in Cyprus, was last seen Saturday at 4pm according to Nicolaou, who said the cause of death was still under investigation.

Details about the case or circumstances under which the worker was spotted in the water were not immediately available.
