Cyprus is fast becoming a favorite getaway for Polish travelers, and 2024 has already smashed records. According to Deputy Tourism Minister Costas Koumis, over 337,000 visitors from Poland chose Cyprus as their holiday spot this year, the highest number ever recorded from the country.

Speaking after a series of tourism promotion events in Krakow, Poznan, and Warsaw, Koumis said that Polish interest in Cyprus is not just growing, it’s booming. In just two years, arrivals from Poland nearly doubled, jumping from 186,000 in 2022 to the current all-time high.

“Poland is now one of our most important tourism markets,” Koumis said, noting that Polish visitors made up over 8% of all tourist arrivals to the island in 2024.

And the good news keeps coming; early stats suggest a further 10% increase is already shaping up for 2025.

With traditional markets affected by geopolitical shifts, Cyprus turned its attention to Poland, and the bet is clearly paying off. Koumis credited this success to targeted investments and promotional efforts.

The events in Poland were organized by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and included 23 hotels, travel agencies, and tourism bodies from Cyprus. More than 150 Polish travel agents and tour operators took part in one-on-one meetings, strengthening business ties and helping to put Cyprus on even more holiday wish lists.

Whether it’s the sun, the sea, or the famous Cypriot hospitality, one thing is clear: Polish holidaymakers are loving Cyprus, and they’re coming back in bigger numbers than ever before.
