The total weight of goods transported by road in Cyprus in 2022 rose by 39.3% compared with 2021, a year that included periodic restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat) on Wednesday in 2022 the weight of freight transported from and to Cyprus rose by 28.5% year on year.
For the period of period of October-December 2022, the total weight of goods transported by road in Cyprus increased by 23.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2021, while the weight of freight transported from and to Cyprus also increased by 21.6%, Cystat added.
