Residents of Nicosia surely love their city, but they love complaining about it even more. Most of them, however, have not walked around in their city in months or even years. The capital of Cyprus, though, is constantly changing and despite its weaknesses, it is still one of the most enjoyable cities of the island. Full of images, smells, history and culture.
The truth is we rarely give our own country a chance. Cypriots do undermine their country, and they undermine Nicosia even more. We all, however, very rarely think of this city as a cultural destination.
This is exactly the mindframe we decided to diminish, by mapping everything one can see in the city within the walls and a few minutes outside of them.
