Authorities said a 10-year-old student was approached by an unknown individual who offered to give him a ride home, claiming to know the boy’s mother. The incident was reported to police by the child’s mother on Monday afternoon.
The Limassol student declined the offer and walked home, as his residence is within a short distance of the school. Police visited the school Monday and Tuesday to speak with staff and gather information.
School officials have been notified of the report, and investigators are working to secure statements and determine whether the suspect was traveling on foot or by vehicle.
