Thirteen people were injured on Tuesday afternoon after a small school minibus carrying students was involved in a traffic collision with a private car on the road between Agios Epifanios and Palaichori.
Police said that 10 of the injured were students, while the remaining three included the two drivers of the vehicles and a bus escort. All were transported to Nicosia General Hospital for medical assessment and treatment.
Authorities confirmed that none of the injuries were serious. The students’ families were informed about the incident, and the injured individuals are receiving appropriate care at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Departments for both children and adults.
The crash temporarily disrupted traffic in the area, as both lanes of the Agios Epifanios-Palaichori road were initially closed while emergency services responded to the scene. After the vehicles involved were removed, traffic flow was restored in both directions.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the collision. Drivers passing through the area were advised to follow instructions from officers managing the situation.
